In order to help everyone who might have a question, we've gathered up the most frequently asked questions, and included them here with detailed answers.  If you have a question that isn't answered here, feel free to ask us.

• Why should I be on the Web?  (1)  To have an Internet "presence."  The Internet has become so popular, that not have a presence is almost like not being listed in the telephone directory. (2)  To attract more business or new business.  Your Web site can be at work selling your products or service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. (3)  To serve current customers or clients better.  Technical support information, product specifications, up-to-date price lists, phone numbers and e-mail address can all be built into your Web site.  (4)  To conduct on-line commerce.  Technology now exists to allow customers to securely submit their credit card information via your Web site to place orders for products and services.

• How much will it cost to have a Web page or Web site?  Prices vary depending on what features you require on your web page.  Prices start as low at $4.95 for our Economy Web Page and can go as high as $10,000+ for a Business Web Site or a Commercial Web site.

• Why should I choose GDEX to design and maintain my Web site?  Since early 1998, GDEX's designers and technicians have developed and maintained many Web pages and Web sites.  We have the knowledge, experience, and tools to do the job right.  Our prices are so affordable, there is no reason to settle for anything less than the best.

• What do I need to know about URL's and domain names?  Your URL (Universal Resource Locator) is your Internet address.  People type this address into their browsers to get to your web site.  There are two main types of URL's that are available.  You can choose either of these depending on your needs and preferences.

(1)  Your site can be listed as a sub-domain of your Internet Service Provider's site. Example:  http://www.kennesawusa.com/yourbusname.   This method is least expensive.  (2)  You can register your own domain name.  this give your site its own special identity.  Example:  http://www.yourbusname.com.  GDEX can search and register your domain name for you for a $30 fee.
 
• How can I get more traffic to my Web site?  GDEX can submit your site's information to a number of popular search engines on the Internet for a $100 fee.  Some other marketing strategies are listed below: 
• Keep your site uncluttered.  Nobody will spend much time on a site that takes forever to load.
• Publicize your URL on your business cards, fax cover sheets, company letterhead, etc. 
• Advertise your Web site with a banner ad.  GDEX can design and develop a banner ad and can help you draw attention to your site by placing your banner ad on our Web site.  Our customer banner ads are placed on our web site FREE of charge, just one way of saying thank you to our valued customers.

• Who maintains my site once it have been designed?  Once your site in published, you will probably want to make occasional or periodic changes to keep it looking fresh and up-to-date.  GDEX offers two ways to accomplish these updates.  (1)  A maintenance plan for those who anticipate a high volume of changes on a regular basis, $40/mo.  (2)  A maintenance plan where updates and changes can be billed at an hourly rate, on as as-needed basis, $30/hr.

• How can I be sure you'll be around six months from now?  GDEX has a solid business plan and a vision for the next five to ten years of operation.

• Can I upgrade my account, and is there a fee?  Yes.  The charge for upgrading is merely the difference in setup fees between the old account type and the new account type. You are issued a pro-rated refund for unused time under the old account type, and billed for a new period at the new account type's rate. This, along with many other requests, can be submitted at any time.

• Will you help me deal with InterNIC?  Yes.  If you are setting up a new InterNIC domain for your account with us, we will search for your name and submit the registration on your behalf. I f you are transferring an existing InterNIC domain from another provider, we will provide you with the necessary information to transfer your domain.

• What if my question isn't answered here?  Send it to us !  We'll get an answer to you as soon as we can. We do, however, give priority to handling e-mail from our current customers.
