Configuring Windows XP Dial-up Connection
- Click on Start
-> Control Panel.
- Now click on Network
and Internet Connections.
- Click Set up or change
your Internet Connection.
- On the Internet Properties
Screen, click the ADD button.
- Select Dial-up to
private network and click Next.
- In the phone number
field, enter your local
dial-up access number and click Next.
- Name your new connection
GDEX.net and click Next.
- Now enter your username
and password in the form of username@gdex.net and then click Properties.
- Make sure your properties
window looks like the following and then click OK.
- You may now click OK
on the Dialing Properties and you should be looking at the following:
- If your Internet Properties
screen looks like the above, you may click OK.
- You may now close the
Control Panel.
To Establish An Internet Connection
- Click Start -> Connect
To -> GDEX.net and the following will appear:
- Click Dial and
you will connect to GDEX Internet Services
- After a successful connection
you're ready to go; you can start your web browser and surf.
