Publishing In FrontPage
The following instructions will help you
to publish and update your frontpage web on GDEX server. GDEX does not
provide support to Frontpage related issues. Microsoft provides direct
technical support for Frontpage product.
You will need the following information to publish your frontpage site:
- Your domain name (www.yourdomain.com) or IP address.
- Your User ID.
- Your Password.
- An established Internet connection.
It is not recommended that you do real-time editing of your
web site directly on the web server without first saving a local backup
copy.
Creating new Frontpage Web.
- Start the FrontPage Explorer on your system. Go to
the 'File' menu and select 'New' and 'FrontPage Web'.
- Select 'Create New FrontPage Web'.
- Choose what type of web you want to work on, or pick
a specific web site template. You should leave the name of your web
site blank.
- Select 'Browse' under the path name if you wish to
change the location that the web site will be saved on your local hard
drive.
- You're now ready to create your web using frontpage.
Consult your Frontpage documentations for instructions.
Publish your site
- Establish an Internet connection.
- Start Frontpage Explorer and open your web site if
you have not already done so.
- Go to File menu and select 'Publish'.
- Click on 'More Web' and enter your domain name (www.yourdomain.com)
or IP address.
- Click on OK to start publishing.
